Megan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about working with children and their families and has over fifteen years of experience doing so in various capacities.

Megan has a positive, strengths-based, and family systems approach. She believes in the importance of parental involvement in the therapy process and providing parents with the tools to support their child at home. She utilizes research-based interventions including play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy. She works with children and adolescents to address various needs, including anxiety, depression, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, separation anxiety, school refusal, and other social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Before working at HTG, Megan began her career working in a group home and as a crisis intervention counselor. She worked as a school social worker for eleven years, two of which were in a therapeutic day school helping youth with significant mental health needs. She also worked as a district wraparound facilitator, providing intensive support and in-home counseling for students and their families.

Megan received her Master of Social Work degree from Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her family.
