| Insurance
Most health insurance plans provide some form of mental health coverage.
For specific details, please consult your plan administrator or
your insurance booklet.
Hinsdale Therapy Group maintains relationships with select insurance
companies. In your initial phone contact, you and your therapist
will determine if HTG is a contracted provider with your insurance
carrier.
- If an HTG therapist is a contracted provider, HTG will submit
paperwork and claims on your behalf. Any deductible or co-payment
required by your insurance plan will be collected at the time
of service.
- If an HTG therapist is not a contracted provider, HTG fees must
be paid at the time of service. We will help you submit paperwork,
but this function remains your responsibility.
Prior to paying a claim, most insurance companies require HTG to
provide information regarding your therapy. This information may
include clinical diagnosis codes, treatment plans or summaries.
You are entitled to a copy of this information. HTG protects your
privacy, in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability &
Accountability Act (HIPAA): we require your signed consent prior
to releasing any confidential record to an insurance carrier or
other party.

Confidentiality/Information
Release
Trust is the foundation of successful therapy. To ensure your safety
and confidence, your HTG therapist complies with the highest ethical
and professional standards.
Communications between client and therapist are always kept private
and confidential to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Specific Release
In situations where clients or guardians would like their HTG therapist
to collaborate with school, doctors, or community officials, our
office requires a signed release. The release must name the specific
recipient and must comply with the following Illinois state laws:
- if the client is 11 years old or younger, a release must be
signed and submitted by that child’s legal guardian;
- clients aged 12 to 17 years old must submit a release that
is signed by the client and his or her legal guardian.
